Long Story Short

Wasn't feeling better. Started to get much worse. Had checkup. Not a return of prostatitis. Saw specialist. New diagnosis. Apparently prostate exam last Friday caused formation of a large perirectal abscess. Had minor surgical procedure yesterday to drain and pack it. Two-thirds of these types of abscess return and require further surgery for complete removal; hopefully I will beat odds. Given Percocet. Had fabulous hallucinations while stoned and watching Golden Girls. Go for follow-up this afternoon to check recovery progress and remove packing. Hopefully will get cleared to travel on Sunday. Looking into options to leave a day later if I need to be seen by doctor again. Just took another Percocet. Will see if it makes The View any more entertaining.

The end.

Feel better.

Get well soon, gramps!

So you had to pay to get your ass packed? That seems wrong.

Feel better kid.

Sorry to hear about all the problems. Hope you feel better real soon!

That's odd. A prostate exam gives a man a peri something or other. Hmmm...either I've been doing it right all these years, or wrong, depending on your point of view. Note to self....be careful next time. (nah!)

Hope you feel better soon, and with left over percocets

I was going to say something about abscess-packing, but I see Tom beat me to the packing punch. (Which, yes, tastes like ... ass.)

"The end." Indeed. *snicker*

Have a safe and fabulous trip, geezer-boy. Hope it's as action-packed as your ass.

Poor you! And to have it caused by the doctor? Hope he pays for it!
