Home Is Where The Heart Is

I hate to sound dramatic, but...

Tonight, my phone rang. It was Mama MAK. We talked for a minute...

And then I talked to my father.

He asked me to come home.

I haven't been able to stop crying for the past three hours.

All I want is to hold my dad.

I booked a flight.

More news from Cleveland over the weekend...

Oh MAK, I am sorry ...

I read your blog daily but haven't commented much ... but I have to tell you I actually cried when I read this post. The thought of him asking you to come home ... I can imagine how that wrenched your heart.

I'm glad that you are able to go back to Cleveland and hold him. That's the best thing you can do for you and for him.

Warmest regards,

Another Matt

Hope you got my messages. In any event, the basic point is...

You're in our thoughts and prayers. Be with your dad, tell him you love him... and then take care of yourself and your family.

You're a sweetheart, and you shouldn't have to go through this, but, alas, we all do eventually. I've lost both of my parents, and there's no easy way through such losses. It's horrible, but you and your family can be there for each other--that's the best thing you can do. Take care! *hug*

Oh, Matt, I am so glad you're going. Actually, you're there now. Fly safe. You're in our thoughts.

Hope all will be well with your dad, you, and your fam. I understand how emotional it can be. Safe travels and best wishes.
