Soup's On!

Things have been a little bit on the hectic side here the past few days, so when five o'clock finally rolled around I was ecstatic to come home and do a whole lot of nothing. It's the first night that I haven't had a rehearsal, seen a show, a committee meeting, or been out for cocktails with friends since last Wednesday. I've never been so happy to just come home.

It's K.'s night off as well, which is a rare midweek treat in the world of theatre schedules. Because he has five show-weekends, it means that the most I see him on my days off are from whenever we wake up until about eleven-thirty (so about an hour each Saturday and Sunday morning). I'd almost forgotten what he looks like. Or feels like. Or tastes like. I'd be all about PSQNing* with him tonight, except that he's sick and I'd rather him not breathe on me. So I'll just stick to some actual PSN on DVD** and get it out of my system.

As I type this, a big pot of tortellini soup is brewing on the stove and Weeds is queued up on the DVR before Project Runway starts. Sheer bliss, I tell you. I'd invite you all over, but I'm very happy to forget that the rest of the world exists for a few hours.

*PSQN, for those of you new to The Barn, is Porn Star Quality Nookie.

** DVD stands for Digital Viewing and Diddling. I just made that up. Spread it around - it's going to catch on and be so fetch. You'll see.

"Be so fetch" - what the heck does that mean? (I live in a cultural wasteland)

Your poor mother.

And I know what fetch means but I had to do alot of research on M.I.L.F.

Stop trying to make fetch happen! Fetch is *not* going to happen!
