To Me, You Are Perfect

I didn't quite understand my birthday surprise as we walked up to the Almeida Theatre in Islington for yesterday's matinee of The Late Henry Moss. An afternoon of Sam Shepard is not exactly what I had in mind when Bob said he'd found the perfect gift for me. But he watched with amusement as I looked at the production photos in the lobby and suddenly realized that Andrew Lincoln (one of my major crushes, probably best known in the States as the Love Actually card-carrying scene stealer...swoon) was starring in it. Well done, Bob!

And front row seats to boot! Our perfect seats allowed generous views of Andrew in his not-quite-period-but-oh-my-god-so-form-fitting jeans, and he made eye contact with me several times. I feel bad for everyone else in the theater, because he was so clearly acting for me and only me that nobody else could have possibly enjoyed the show. Those blue, blue eyes...

Mmmm. A delightful birthday surprise, indeed!

Did he have any lines that caused him to sputter so vehemently that saliva had no choice but to fling forth from his magnificent mouth? If so, were you the recipient of any of it?

Mmm, he is delish.

I would be jealous, except, of course, you know who I slept with recently ...
