Slip-N-Slide

I haven’t really been on a diet, per se, but I’ve been pretty good about watching what I eat. K. is on the South Beach Diet (35 pounds in two and a half months – go boy) and since we’re sharing meals more regularly these days it has been a sort of "healthier eating by association" thing. I’ve lost about 25 pounds myself, over about four months. Thanks in part to my recent switch to diet sodas, using artificial sweeteners in my coffee, and having ice cream once a week or less, combined with a slightly more dedicated gym regimen, the weight is staying off. [Some people may try to have you believe that I’ve been doing coke and throwing up after meals...but I’m no Olsen twin.]

So, all in all, I’ve been pretty good. A few little slips here and there, but nothing awful.

Two containers of Chubby Hubby, two six-piece Chicken McNuggets, a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, pasta in a cream sauce, a bag of Wild Berry Skittles, pizza, popcorn, French fries galore, and a coffee roll from Dunkin’ Donuts…all in three days…that’s still considered a little slip, right?

May the force be with you!

Does that somehow add up to more than three days worth of food in your estimation? 'Cause I don't want to live in that world.

It's a slip like a California mudslide is a slip. :-)

Well, you know that a diet soda cancels out a Quarter Pounder and one pint of ice cream, right? :-)

Congrats on the weight loss so far.

Girrrrrrrl, was it emotional this weekend for you or what?! Or were you just missing all that stuff in a really bad way? Hey, good for you that you did away with the 25 pounds. Amazing what a little sugar reduction will do. I stopped all processed sugar and reduced the amount of natural sugars I eat and my lactose intolerance magically disappeared...oh, and I lost 18 lbs. Good luck - keep going - don't worry about a little fall off the wagon occasionally...it when it gets to be a habit that it's a problem. xoxoxoxo
