Before I forget, it was a tremendous pleasure meeting everyone this weekend. There are those that I got to talk to at length, those who I wish I got to speak with more, apparently some I didn't get to speak to at all (sorry...and thanks for your flattering remarks on your site), those bloggers whom I had already known and loved but all too* rarely get to see, and of course my usual partners in crime...I'm sure I've left some people off this massive link list, but rest assured that it was outrageous and wonderful fun being with all of you.
Due to my unfortunate breakfast on Saturday morning, I missed Round Two of Blogapalooza on Saturday evening. Although, I've heard quite the collection of stories from multiple sources. Rest assured, your secrets are safe with me as long as the checks keep coming in.
Sunday morning didn't bring any twin sightings, much to my dismay. Crash, Mark and I hit Dacine to see if we could catch them. My appetite still hadn't returned, but who can pass up a possible twin sighting? Alas, we seem to have either arrived too late or the twins took a Sunday off. Although it seems that Queer Eye has a pair of twins from Queens lined up to be part of their upcoming season...and if it is indeed our twins, I will be sure to let all of you know. Special thanks to M.M. for the heads up on that tidbit!
So the work week begins anew and promises to be frantic for me as I have to squeeze five days of work into four. I depart Friday morning for the Firefighter Wedding. The Best Man speech is coming along...okay, that's a lie. I have two possibilities for the opening sentences and that's about it. I'd best look into those elephants to distract everyone from how poor my delivery will be.
And something tells me I'd best start putting my liver into expedited recovery, because if anybody can drink more than this merry band of bloggers, it is a social gathering comprised of dozens of firefighters and my family. Oy.
* Update 4:24pm - Sorry, Adam, didn't mean to forget you.
Posted by mak at May 24, 2004 1:47 PMDefinitely fun meeting you, and not to worry: I'm sure we'll be sobbing into each other's beers and piling up the blackmail material soon. Provided we remember it the next day.
Posted by: Frank Beekman at May 24, 2004 3:38 PMBefore you forget? What do you mean "before you forget"? How could you forget?
Oh wait, you drank your brain cells into a coma. Now I understand.
Posted by: PatCH at May 24, 2004 5:59 PMFrank: We can compare notes and see what kind of ransom we can come up with, and split the profits.
Patch: Mmhmm, that's the pot calling the kettle black. And that's why we love you.
Posted by: MAK at May 24, 2004 6:03 PMMy liver sympathizes, but even it thinks we should have made the trip. I'm so envious of everyone involved for getting to hang out amid such a witty and adorable crowd. Ah well, next year -- or maybe August.
Posted by: Jeff at May 25, 2004 10:33 AMHiya... yeah, I should've said something...
